On behalf of the NACW Board of Directors, I invite you to attend the 49th NACW Annual Meeting and Leadership Summit. The National Association of Commissions for Women (NACW) will be in Chicago, Illinois, July 22-24, 2019, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, 230 South LaSalle Street, Chicago, Illinois 60604. This year's theme is Engineering Our Future: Blueprint for Women’s Leadership and will focus on leadership development and peer-to-peer learning. In addition, NACW will be launching its newest initiative, Commission Leadership Initiative and Mentorship Building (CLIMB), a year-long program for emerging and re-energizing commissions to receive specialized and consistent support.
The conference is sure to be an outstanding opportunity to connect with other commissions from across the country, as well as provide you with workshops and resources to further your professional development as Commissioners or Commission Staff. No one ever leaves without learning best practices, making new lifelong contacts and creating strong bonds of support. It will be a time to renew our commitment to sustain, strengthen and advocate for women’s commissions in their work to promote equality and justice for all women and girls and ensure they are represented and empowered in their communities. Together, we are powerful!
